Edward Cullen Twilight Action Figure

NECA have released a set of action figures to tie in with the release of the New Moon movie. This is the second in the Twilight series and focuses more on the relationship between Bella and Jacob Black. But heck, any excuse for an action figure of Edward Cullen will do.

NECA seem to specialize in New Moon merchandise as they have not only made these action figures but also produce games, cards, jewelry and all sorts of other things that can be tied into the movies. All these goods seem to have been officially licensed by Summit Entertainment, who make the Twilight movies.
  
The Edward Cullen Twilight action figure is a fairly accurate representation of the actor Robert Pattinson who plays Edward Cullen in the movie. Maybe people would disagree but I would have thought it would be better to represent the character rather than the actor, but he is very popular so who knows.

The action figure is 7 inches tall. The face is not totally accurate but it is not a bad representation and seems to have the bone structure down quite well. He wears clothing that Robert Pattinson seems to wear in interviews but I would say that the hairstyle is more Edward than Robert. The action figure has jointed shoulders so that the arms can move around.

At the moment this action figure is selling for only $12. That seems like a reasonable price to me.

Background on Edward Cullen/Robert Pattinson. 

Edward Cullen is a 107 year old vampire. He's a sensitive vampire because he doesn't drink human blood. This allows him to interact with humans and live a seemingly normal human life on the surface (although he does get the odd urge to drink a bit of human blood once in a while).

He develops a relationship with Bella Swan in Forks, Washington State. The story of their romance and relationship is the central theme for all the Twilight books and up and coming movies. Apart from the boy meets girl storyline, readers of the Twilight series are introduced to the world of vampires, according to the books author, Stephenie Meyer. Robert Pattinson is an English actor that had fairly limited roles in a few movies, most notably in the Harry Potter series of movies. He really came into his own when he was cast as Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies.
